Metalworks Institute is the educational creation and natural extension of world renowned Metalworks Studios, home to some of the world's most successful artists, engineers, and producers. MWI is a dynamic, independent institution dedicated to providing an incomparable level of education in the areas of audio recording, production, live show production, and the business of entertainment. Metalworks Institute offers 12 diploma and advanced diploma programs in four core streams: Recorded Music, Live Music, Music Business, and Music Performance. Students looking for a more comprehensive education can elect to study in one of the hybrid programs that blend the skills and competencies of two different streams.

Located just south of Highway 403 on Mavis Road, the facility is minutes from both the QEW and Highway 401. From the first day of your first class at MWI, you begin to shape your career path. Throughout each diploma program, our students are provided with the fundamental skills to communicate, to solve problems, and to work both independently and collaboratively towards rewarding and fulfilling careers within the entertainment industry. Each program contains valuable, insightful lectures, and assignments on networking, career paths, resume creation, interview skills, and portfolio development. In addition, all graduates have access to an online alumni community though the Metalworks Institute Student Centre. Here, graduates can participate in interactive forums, post and update their online resumes, link to job postings and prominent industry resources, and access resume and career tips, including resume building, cover letters, and interview preparation. Graduates can also search for former classmates and post details about their careers.
