Notes for Canadian Students

Canada's National Ballet School is a publicly-subsidized professional training institution. For most programs, the School charges tuition fees which cover only a portion of the real costs. Fees do not include book costs, ballet wear, and supplies (if needed). Consistent with the practice of other publicly-subsidized schools, visa students are charged fees that cover a higher percentage of costs than Canadian students. "Canadians" are defined as: citizens within the meaning of the Citizenship Act who are ordinarily resident in Canada, and permanent residents within the meaning of the Immigration Act, as long as they demonstrate the intention to become Canadian citizens by applying for citizenship as soon as legally eligible. Financial Assistance Full-time students may be eligible for assistance under one or more components of the Ontario Student Assistance Program, including the Canada Student Loans Program and the Ontario Student Loans Program, and should contact the Registrar for further information. Non-Canadian students should contact the nearest Canadian embassy for visa information.
