Requirements for Canadian Students

Admission to UTS is based on the outcome of the admission process, which includes the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT), a UTS entrance examination, and an interview. The primary entry level is Grade 7, where an equal number of boys and girls are admitted. Each year, more than 500 students apply for up to 110 places available in the first year. Students must be in the equivalent of Grade 6 when applying. Limited spaces are available for grades 9 to 11. Applicants who are not Canadian citizens must provide documentation that they are legally in Canada. The primary entry level is Grade 7, where an equal number of boys and girls are admitted. Each year, more than 400 students apply for up to 96 places available in the first year. Students must be in the equivalent of Grade 6 when applying. The secondary entry level is Grade 9, where an equal number of boys and girls are admitted. Each year, more than 175 students apply for up to 24-26 places available for the 9th grade. Students must be in the equivalent of Grade 8 when applying. Limited spaces are available for grades 10 and 11. Applicants must provide proof of Canadian status (citizenship card, birth certificate, passport, permanent resident card, etc.).
