Requirements for Canadian Students

The minimum age for students at IH Vancouver is 16 years old. Students of any English ability will be accepted. Children from five to 12 can participate in our special summer Children's Adventure Program (CAP). Students ages 13 to 17 can register for the Junior Program in Vancouver or the Whistler Summer Camp. Young Learner programs are available in July and August. Medical insurance is mandatory for all students and can be applied for through the school.

Young Learner programs are available in July and August. Students planning to study longer than six months require a study permit (IH Vancouver will provide a letter of acceptance to those students). Medical insurance is mandatory for all students and can be applied for through the school.

Procedure for Canadian Students

1. Look at the IH Vancouver calendar and decide when you would like to start. 2. Complete and fax, e-mail, or courier the application form. (Online registration also available.) 3. Issue payment of your non-refundable $100.00 registration fee and $175.00 housing placement fee (if required). Payment can be made by International Money Order, Bank Draft, Bank Transfer, or Credit Card. 4. Full payment of all fees is due at least 21 days prior to the start of the course. 5. IH Vancouver is proud to offer official in-house testing for TOEIC, TOEFL, and Cambridge ESOL examinations.
