Students are required to have their secondary school diploma or equivalent. In addition to this, some programs also require standing in specific secondary school courses and other qualifications. Admission is provided on the basis that all admission requirements have been met.
Since English is the language of instruction at Fanshawe College, it is essential that students have an adequate working knowledge of written and spoken English. Evidence of their ability must be submitted as part of the application process. For a student with English as a second language, a minimum TOEFL score of 550 is acceptable. TOEFL results must have been achieved within 12 months of applying to college. For Nursing and Medical Radiation Technology, a minimum TOEFL score of 570 is acceptable.
Our international programs attract students from such countries as Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea, the People's Republic of China, Taiwan, Mexico, Columbia, Brazil, Lebanon, Jordan, United Arab Emirates and the USA.
Students should submit a completed application and transcript to Ontario College Application Services (OCAS) at www.ontariocolleges.ca. The application service will send your application to the colleges you have chosen. You may be asked to complete questionnaires, provide portfolios, attend interviews, and/or take part in testing or information sessions. The application processing fee is $95.00. The application fee is payable to OCAS. The preferential deadline for full-time diploma programs beginning in September is February 1.
