Although a background in biology and science is helpful, it is not absolutely necessary. Esthetics is a profession requiring people's skills and therefore the most important attribute is a responsible, caring attitude, coupled with a strong determination to succeed. Many mature students have entered this profession at a later stage in life and others such as nurses, teachers, or housewives have made successful changes and have found their new career very rewarding. There is also a growing number of higher educated individuals such as university graduates and various medical professionals who have entered the profession thus raising the level of the profession to a higher status in society. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and should possess a good command of English. Prospective students are welcome to visit and view the premises of the school and clinic when making an application to the school.
