The Horatio Alger Skills & Trades Scholarships are awarded to eligible students in British Columbia.
  • Have completed high school (or earned high school equivalency credential) by July 1
  • Enrolled in hands-on vocational, technical, or trades training for Fall 2026 at a public or not-for-profit school
  • Demonstrated critical financial need (applicants must show household annual net income of $100,000 or less)
  • Be under the age of 35
  • Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident residing in British Columbia
The scholarship application will open on April 1. The deadline to apply is June 15. Should spaces remain, the application will remain open until all scholarships are awarded.
