Description: | Geology is the science of the Earth. It relates to the environmental problems we face and the sources of energy and raw materials needed to sustain our economy. Our program combines fieldwork with the use of sophisticated laboratory instrumentation and computers. We also operate an analytical lab for all Nova Scotia university Geology Departments.
This program, which is available at both the major and honours level, integrates on-the-job experience and academic studies. Upon completion of the Co-operative Education program, the student receives the Bachelor of Science degree in geology, at the major level, with the added qualification of "Co-operative Education." |
