If you want to learn how to apply mathematics to solve real-world economic issues, this course is for you. You'll learn from experts shaping global policy – our staff are world-renowned leaders in development economics, international trade and environment and energy.
You explore the relationship between mathematical modelling and economics. You study topics including: probability models, financial mathematics and econometrics, and economic policy on a macro and micro level. During your integrated Masters year, you develop skills in both subjects and apply them to an advanced research project. To support your career development, you use industry-standard software (such as MATLAB and SAS) to develop analytical and modelling skills. Our close partnerships with local organisations give you invaluable industry insights and opportunities.

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Applicants are required to have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) 80%from 6 grade 12 U, U/C or M courses.
We also recognise the High School Diploma from other provinces -including Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick- where we look for strong performance in grade 12 subjects, and the Diplome d'Etudes Collegiales (DEC) from Quebec.
Evidence of existing academic ability in Mathematics to a high level is essential.
