Description:

The Master of Education in Educational Leadership (MEd (EL)) is a graduate degree that links current research on educational leadership with the leadership development needs of Alberta school jurisdictions. The MEd (EL) is specifically created to support Alberta teachers, educational consultants, learning coaches, and school administrators who desire to further their professional learning.

    Bachelor of Education degree or a Bachelor of Education (After Degree) or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
    An admission grade point average (AGPA) of 3.0 (on CUE’s 4‐Point Scale) or equivalent on the most recent 60 credits of undergraduate (or graduate) study.
    Hold a valid teaching certificate issued by a provincial, state or national certifying body.
    A minimum of five years teaching experience.
    Test Scores:
    • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 60] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 80] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550]
