Humber’s Community Integration through Co-operative Education (CICE) certificate program is designed to provide adults with intellectual disabilities (also known as developmental disabilities) the opportunity to experience post-secondary education life, develop enhanced independence and connect with like-minded individuals. Our program is the first post-secondary education program of its kind in Ontario and is a leader in building collaborative, inclusive communities that support and promote experiential and transformative learning. We want you to succeed, and we will help you to develop skills you can use at Humber, work, home and in the community. Our goal is to give you opportunities to build your confidence, leadership skills and independence by getting involved with the Humber community while advocating for yourself in a supportive environment. We do this through positive role-modelling and by highlighting the unique value of each individual and the benefits that come from interacting and working with others. |

Admission is based on the academic criteria indicated. Meeting minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee admission into the CICE Program. Admission selection is based on the following requirements: - Applicant must have a documented intellectual or developmental disability
- Applicant must be 19 years or older on the first day of classes (day after Labour Day)
- Applicant must have completed high school with either: a Certificate of Achievement, an Ontario Secondary School Certificate (OSSC)
- Applicants who have graduated from high school with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) must also provide a letter of registration from Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) with their application

| Additional Admission Requirements: | - Applicants are required to demonstrate a willingness to participate fully in the program
- Students must have a level of independence that does not require constant support or supervision at the college
- Students accepted into the program must arrange for their own transportation to and from Humber College, and to and from field placement
- This program often has more applications than spots available. Applicants may re-apply for future admission dates.
