Description:

If you have a BTEC HND or Foundation degree (FdSc) in an appropriate subject - such as Music Technology, Music Production, Music Performance or Popular Music Practice - this course allows you to convert your qualification into a BSc (Hons) degree. The Music Technology top-up course aims to prepare you for work within the professional music industry, and will give you an in-depth understanding of the technology which underpins the music production process. You’ll gain technical skills in recording, studio design, DAW software sequencing and editing along with developing your more creative skills such as mixing and mastering techniques, composition and audio processing.

Music recording has become increasingly broad and diverse which has created new and exciting challenges for the music technologist of today. From producing music for various different musical genres, and for different media types such as CD, Digital Download, Surround Sound and Compressed Audio, music technologists and engineers require many more creative and technical skills than ever before.
