The SFU Executive MBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership (EMBA IBL) is offered as a cohort under the Executive MBA (EMBA) program and is the only accredited MBA program in North America addressing Indigenous business, economic development and entrepreneurship. Designed primarily for mid-career Indigenous professionals from across Canada, participants are proven leaders who share an interest in Indigenous business management, economic development, Nation-building, and self-determination. The program includes the core concepts and knowledge covered in most MBA programs while recognizing and respecting that traditional knowledge, cultural protocols and history play a significant role in decision-making in Indigenous communities. Students travel to Vancouver to attend intensive one or two-week sessions over the period of 5 terms which permits them to continue to work.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    - An undergraduate degree in any discipline.

    - A two-year technology diploma or outstanding grades will be considered.

    - Applicants with extensive work experience without a formal degree or professional designation may be considered. Each applicant under this category will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
    Application Notes : All courses in the Executive MBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership program are taught in English, therefore all applicants must be fluent in English.
