This distinctive programme is the result of a joint partnership between Edge Hill University and Implant Centres of Excellence (ICE Ltd). It will train you in the practical application of dental implantology in the clinic, combining theoretical knowledge with the requirement to successfully complete a range of cases at a clinical hub, supported by a team of experienced dentists and a clinical mentor.
You will be introduced to new technologies such as minimally invasive computer guided surgery and explore CAD-CAM restorative treatment techniques, infection control, medico-legal and ethical considerations, and human factors. There is a focus on teamwork, collaboration and reflection with the overall aim of nurturing an evidence-based approach to practice and enhancing the quality of patient care. |
