his pathway is designed to give you a thorough grounding in the skills required for a variety of performance contexts in order to prepare you for the demands of current professional practice. The pathway aims to produce graduates who are flexible, enterprising and responsive to the challenges of a range of modern industry settings.

Performance-based modules studied at all stages, explore new styles and approaches and develop you as a thinking and reflective actor and performer. Production work at prestigious professional theatres gives you an opportunity to realise your development in performance and act as a showcase to the industry. These modules cover advanced acting skills, the study of a variety of performance texts, classical and contemporary performance practices and the knowledge and skills required to act in professional theatre production.

The Acting and Performance specialism builds on the broad foundations of the BA Drama framework. Using the understandings of these diverse skills you will apply them to the delivery of a number of acting and performance projects. These will encourage you to develop a wide understanding of contemporary performance practices and the part the individual performer plays within it.
