Description:This pilot training program is the only collaborative diploma program that offers students a choice between flying airplanes at Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre or flying helicopters at Great Lakes Helicopter. Through pilot training at one of the flight centres and classes at Conestoga College, students can complete the Aviation - General Arts and Science diploma in only two years as well as the pilot training to allow them to undertake the Transport Canada commercial pilot license testing.

Students are advised that, in addition to the regular Conestoga College tuition costs, fees for the Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre and Great Lakes Helicopter training are additional and total approximately $69,000 (including GST) and $80,000 over two years for Great Lakes Helicopter. (Fees could be more depending on the type of aircraft or number of hours to complete levels of the program.)

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, OR 19 years of age or older with mature student status (See Mature Student definition for details.), Grade 12 compulsory English, C or U, or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Communications (COMM1270), Grade 12 Mathematics, C or U (75% in MCT4C or 65% in MHF4U or MCV4U), or equivalent, or 75% in Conestoga College Preparatory Mathematics for Technology & Apprenticeship (MATH1385), and Grade 11 or 12 Physics, C or U, or equivalent, OR ACE Physics (OLRN1590).
