Description:

During the first year you’ll develop the critical and analytical skills that are needed for the rest of the course. From then on there is an increasing amount of choice over which options you’ll study, so you can shape your learning journey to suit your interests. The options cover everything from Marlowe to Byron and from American Gothic to First World War prose.

We also offer opportunities to study abroad for a semester in your second year, usually in North America or mainland Europe. It’s a stimulating way to broaden your cultural sensitivity and consider additional perspectives.
