Description:

Children’s nurses provide specialised clinical care to new-born babies, children and young people and their families and also work closely with families, carers and other professionals to safeguard and protect children.

On our Child Nursing Studies course you will be taught by professionals with expertise, enabling you to consolidate theory and practice. Through a variety of teaching, learning and assessment methods, you will gain a sound knowledge informed by research on which to underpin your nursing practice. At our Coach Lane campus, you will benefit from our Clinical Skills Centre, providing NHS-standard equipment and resources for simulation and practical skills training. This course has a very ‘hands-on’ element, with 50% of your learning being based within practice placements with local NHS Trusts, private sector healthcare and specialist providers, enabling you to take your theory into real-life settings.
