Program Information

Faculty:Health Sciences
Field of Study:Medical Radiologic Technology/Science - Radiation Therapist
Description:Magnetic Resonance provides the skills needed to perform various Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures. Students learn to function effectively in diverse settings from busy trauma centres to outpatient clinics.

It is a 20-month program consisting of full-time academic studies and practicum experience at participating sites throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. Students attend classes on a full-time basis at NAIT for the classroom portion. During the clinical practicum, students spend a majority of their time at one site but may be rotated through different MRI facilities, giving them optimal exposure to MRI procedures. Students are expected to experience all shifts in the MRI departments, including weekends and evenings when applicable. Study days are provided during the clinical practicum to complete assignments.
