Description:

The Master of Arts Instructional Technology & E-Learning (MAITEL) degree offers two cognates of study. The Instructional Technology cognate is available for classroom teachers interested in integrating technology into their curriculum, school administrators or teachers charged with decision-making and administration of technology, and business or government personnel involved in the development and administration of technology based training.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. A demonstrated working knowledge of personal computer usage and applications is required. Experience with technology in the classroom is desirable, however, not required. Official copies of all undergraduate and graduate transcripts from any college or university where college credit was earned. A copy of most recent teaching certificate. If you need to obtain a copy of your (current or expired) teaching certificate to submit with your application, you may retrieve a copy though the Michigan Department of Education Certification site.
