Description:Laurier's Bachelor of Education program is highly progressive and future-oriented. Our courses blend 21st-century skills and global perspectives with a focus on the diverse needs of children and youth in today's schools. The integration of varied technologies within course content enables our Teacher Education Candidates to select and use their perfect tool for learning. Indigenous content and ways of knowing pervade all of our courses, and teacher candidates may choose to pursue certificates in the Arts, Healthy Living, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or in Glocal (Global and Local) Social and Environmental Justice perspectives. Finally, all of this comes to life in 40 weeks of practical experience in classrooms or other learning contexts.

Additional Admission Requirements:
    This is a postgraduate bachelor’s degree program that requires an undergraduate degree. Preference is given to applicants who have completed, or are completing, a four-year undergraduate degree with a minimum of 20 full credits. Applicants who present a three-year degree will be considered for admission. Admission is based 50% on your academic achievement and 50% on the information you’ll submit in the form of an experience profile. You must present a minimum academic average of B- in your most recently completed 10 full credits (20 half credits) of undergraduate university courses. If you present a college/applied degree, you will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Applicants who have completed, or are completing, a master’s degree will receive additional admission consideration.
