Description:

Electronics have a great presence in our daily lives. They are used in countless domestic and industrial applications such as radio, television, video systems, telephone, networks, aeronautics, and computer systems. A solid education in this field opens the door to a high tech career in trade currently known for its urgent demand for able professionals.

The curriculum is implemented in two stages. The first is designed to help our students acquire fundamental knowledge and skills through hands-on activities that will allow him/her to become familar with electricity, electronic components and circuits, and the way in which they interact in order to produce desired functions. The second stage of this program involves the practice of troubleshooting and repairing different types of electronic equipment. Graduates will acquire the knowledge to master the operation of numerous circuits, diagnose outages and repair electronic appliances, and use measuring and control devices to evaluate the condition of circuits.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    All students are asked provide basic criteria: a birth Certificate with parent names, a ministry of education school transcript, and 2 small photos (4 photos for Auto Mechanics program). Additional academic requirements apply--speak to councilors for more information.
