Description:

The Bachelor of Social Work program prepares students to facilitate change in individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities. Social workers seek to improve quality of life and well-being, advocate for principles of social justice and equality for the oppressed and vulnerable, work to remove structural disadvantage, and create opportunities for people to develop their own skills and resources to reach their own goals. This program is available in a four-year degree program and a two-year after degree program, with a strong emphasis on clinical skills courses. Students typically gain more than 800 hours of practical field experience and benefit from the unique way we match our students to their placement sites. Also available: DIRECT entry to the program from high school (4 years) or After-Degree (2 years). Full criteria at BoothUC.ca/academics/degree-programs/social-work/
