Combine your love of food, science and health promotion and help people with their nutrition needs. In the Nutrition and Food degree program at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), you'll study science, nutrition, research, communications and social science. Advanced courses in dietetics, food security, gerontology or Indigenous studies will help you build specialized skills that enhance the quality of life of others. You can take part in an optional international exchange to gain further understanding of nutrition-related theory and practice across the globe. You'll also gain experience through research labs, community projects like the Urban Farm at TMU and a research project. |

- Grade12 English or Grade12 English (ENG4U) or Grade12 English (EAE4U)
- Grade12 Chemistry
- Grade12 Biology
Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), 6 Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%, and the following required Grade 12 U courses (minimum grade of 70% in each): - English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)
- Chemistry (SCH4U)
- Biology (SBI4U)
- Completion of a Grade 12 U mathematics course, a Grade 12 U/M social science or humanities course, and a senior level family studies course is recommended
Applicants not educated in Ontario must submit evidence of education equivalent to the OSSD with six Grade 12 U or M courses.
