Description:

Sociology is the study of human social life, focusing on developing an understanding of changes in social structure and human interaction on an individual, societal and global level.

You will examine human behavior and why people interact the way they do. You will focus on current social issues and the evolutionary changes of societies as you explore criminology and legal studies, race and ethnic relations, medical sociology, labour and education, agriculture and development, women's and gender studies, mass media and communications, and religion.You will also have the opportunity to develop skills related to research methods, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication.

  •  Grade12 Foundations for College Mathematics (MAP4C)  or  Grade12 Precalculus 
Applicants are required to have Foundations of Mathematics 30 or Pre-Calculus 30.Students entering the Bachelor of Arts program, or who are undecided about which program they are interested in, are encouraged to take Foundations of Mathematics 30. Students interested in the Bachelor of Science program are encouraged to take Pre-Calculus 30.

  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or CanTEST [min. 4.5] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 85] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 86] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70]
