Description:

Chemical engineers are the alchemists of our world, transforming raw materials into valuable products that benefit society. From advancing medicine to securing clean water for communities, Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU)'s Chemical Engineering Co-op degree program will help you acquire the skills needed to improve human life. In your first year, you'll study engineering fundamentals, like calculus and physics. As you progress, you'll master topics such as AI, waste recovery, the circular economy and hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. In later years, you'll complete co-op work terms, working with leading companies, and execute a capstone design project, adding industry experience to your resume before you graduate. With renowned staff, student teams, and facilities, including innovative water treatment and materials labs, you’ll be able to get practical testing and launch new ideas.

Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), 6 Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%, and the following required Grade 12 U courses (minimum grade of 70% in each):

  • English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)
  • Advanced Functions (MHF4U)
  • Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U)
  • Physics (SPH4U)
  • Chemistry (SCH4U)

Applicants not educated in Ontario must submit evidence of education equivalent to the OSSD with six Grade 12 U or M courses.
