Description:

The Bachelor of Science (BSc) program strives to give students a well-rounded Biology education, with a broadbased biological background. In this way, the program allows for maximum flexibility in career choice, whether it be research, medicine, teaching, or another related discipline. The program also provides all the courses required for application and admission into professional programs such as Medicine, Dentistry, Chiropractic, Pharmacology, Optometry, and Veterinary Medicine. Students may choose a stream from the following list that best suits their career goals: Biology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Health Sciences, Kinesiology, General Biology, or Ecology. The degree program also includes course work in Biochemistry, Botany, Ecology, Microbiology, Physiology, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics and Math. The program helps students develop critical thinking skills as well as practical research techniques and laboratory skills.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or an equivalent with five grade 12 level courses including English 12, Pre-Caculus 12, Biology 12 and Chemistry 12 or Physics 12, and a minimum 60% average or higher. Physics and Calculus are recommended but not required.
Test Scores:
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 560] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7.0] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 83]
