The OCT certification requirements state that teachers must be qualified to teach in at least two consecutive divisions: Primary/Junior (Kindergarten to Grade 3 and Grades 4 to 6), Junior/Intermediate (Grades 4 to 6 and Grades 7 to 10 with a focus in one subject area), and Intermediate/Senior (Grades 7 to 10 and Grades 11 and 12 with two subject specialties).
