Earn a personalized Visual Arts diploma, built to your interests as a future creative professional. In your first year, you lay the groundwork for building core artistic skills. Through study in drawing, material process, and space, form and time, you build a repertoire of techniques and experience that prepares you for more advanced course work.

You can build your studies to suit your desired skills, choosing from a curated array of courses in six studio disciplines.


These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants are required to have: a B.C. secondary school graduation or 19 years or older before the first day of classes. Students with university-level credit must have a grade point average of 2.00 on all credits attempted. Transcripts must be submitted to substantiate this.

    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 88] or CanTEST [min. 4.5] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 85]

    Applicants must have a portfolio review. An interview may be requested. Attendance at a program orientation is a required element of the portfolio review process.
