The Discover Employability Certificate program at Capilano University helps young adults with learning differences develop the skills employers are looking for. In this eight-month career training and exploration program, you'll learn in a small cohort of 12 students by combining in-class instruction with on-the-job work experience. The seven courses will help you strengthen your workplace knowledge with training in job preparation, health and safety, computer skills, social skills, transition skills, personal finance and work experience. You'll also improve your self-awareness, self-advocacy, communication and social thinking abilities as you progress through the program. Your CapU instructors will also support your educational needs and prepare you for three work experience placements before graduation. Student pathways: - Specific skills-based training courses
