Description:

The objectives of this program include enabling the students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to interpret the work plans and technical drawings; applying concepts of occupational health and safety; applying concepts involved in the use of materials in the aerospace industry; applying auxiliary assembly techniques; applying sealants; drilling holes, and riveting and deriveting parts; fabricating simple structural parts; forming a subassembly, a simple assembly, and a complex assembly; installing an alternate system; modifying an assembly; and entering the workforce.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants must have a high school diploma or its equivalent, and be at least 18 years of age.
    Additional Admission Requirements:
      Good reflexes (good hand-eye coordination), an interest in applied mathematics, an aptitude for mechanics, attention to detail and precision, computer skills, a sense of responsibility, an analytical mind, the ability to work in a team, and a methodical approach to work are all required.
