The training provided by our College is to prepare you for employment in the massage field. You have two avenues to obtain this training, either by full time or by distance education. The Full Time program is described as the Remedial Massage Therapy Course. The course is two years in length and upon its completion you will be eligible to sit for the Provincial Association exams, allowing you to register as a massage therapist with that particular Association.
The Distance Education program is described as the Remedial Massage Therapy Course. The first year course is one year which is focused on Relaxation Massage. The second course is two-years of Remedial Massage Therapy which focuses on the Therapeutic effects of massage. Students who have completed both courses are eligible to sit for Provincial Association exams allowing them to register as a Massage Therapist with that Association. |

Applicants must have a Grade 12 or equivalent education; however, life experience may make you eligible as a mature student. Applicants need a compassionate and understanding character, with the desire to help those individuals who suffer from pain. Students must be able to work independently and have good organizational skills. Success in the field favors individuals with more life experiences. Although, age is not a determining factor, we do want students applying to be aware of this fact. |
