The two-year program Massage Therapy diploma program combines the specialized massage theory and technique courses, the foundational science courses, and business-related courses, with extensive real-life, hands-on practicum experience. The practicum component includes the Student Health Clinic, Outreach programs, and a multi-week Internship.
The program prepares students to successfully meet the competency requirements of the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia (CMTBC) and the other regulated provinces (Newfoundland and Labrador, and Ontario). Upon completion, you are eligible to take the CMTBC Board exams to become a registered massage therapist (RMT). Once registered in BC, you may register in the other regulated provinces without further education or examination. BC credentials are widely recognized in the non-regulated provinces. |
