Description:Computing Science involves computational processes and information systems. You’ll learn concepts such as algorithm, language, information, complexity, and system design, and how to apply these concepts to areas like communications, medicine, security, science, business, and entertainment. In this program, you’ll explore creative ways to solve problems as you discover how computers and computer systems work. You’ll also develop other marketable skills such as analytical reasoning, advanced numeracy, computer languages like C++ and Java, software design and development, project management, and communications.

The co-op program is designed for students who wish to gain relevant work experience while attending university.

  •  Grade12 Precalculus  or  Grade12 Calculus 
  •  Grade12 Physics  or  Grade12 Biology  or  Grade12 Chemistry  or  Grade12 Computer and Information Science  

Two additional academic 12 courses are also required.
Test Scores:
  • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 60] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550] or CanTEST [min. 4.5] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 80]

If your first language is not English, you must demonstrate that you have the English language skills necessary to be successful in Saint Mary’s University degree programs.
