Looking to bring your creative vision to life on screens large and small? Capilano University’s eight-month Documentary Certificate program is for you. In the Documentary Certificate program, you'll build the skills to produce, direct, write and edit documentaries or specialized productions under award-winning filmmakers' mentorship. You'll understand how production cycles work, from story concept and development to pre-production, production, post-production, distribution, and marketing phases. We're meeting the needs of emerging documentary filmmakers in a rapidly changing industry. Basic requirements - High school graduation or
- Successful completion of testing and/or upgrading in English or Math skills
Current high school students Grade 12 students can apply for conditional admission based on their final Grade 11 and/or interim Grade 12 marks by uploading their most recent grades (e.g., unofficial transcript or a report card) through EducationPlannerBC. Final admission depends on high school graduation and meeting the specific requirements of the program. Note: Applicants from B.C high schools must release their grades to CapU via the BC Ministry of Education at Student Transcripts Services (STS) as soon as possible. |
