Description:

Many municipalities require that certified technicians perform inspection and testing on fire systems. Technicians are certified by the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC (ASTTBC) through a process that requires both academic and practice components. BCIT's Associate Certificate in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing is a part-time program that is designed to meet a portion of the academic requirements, helping you on your path to certification.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
  •  Grade12 English 
  •  Grade12 Mathematics 
  •  Grade12 Science 
The Associate Certificate program courses are taught at a level that assumes students have completed senior secondary school English, math, science or equivalent.
