UFV’s English program provides you with the ability to articulate complex ideas and research findings and the skills to analyze various texts and interpret iconic written works throughout history.

  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 88] or CanTEST [min. 4.5] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 85]
Additional Admission Requirements:
    Admission into the Honours English program is a two-step process: after completing 60 credits, apply to the Honours English program, and after completing 90 credits and before enrolling in ENGL 491 and ENGL 492, submit a directed studies research proposal. The Honours committee will review your application. You must maintain a 3.5 GPA throughout the program.
