| Laurier’s Chamber Music Diploma is a two-term program designed for advanced musicians seeking intensive, collaborative training in small ensemble performance. Open to those who have completed an undergraduate degree or diploma in music, the program is well suited for pre-formed chamber groups featuring any combination of strings, woodwinds, brass, piano or percussion. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Admission to the Chamber Music Diploma is based on the collective results of:
- Academics
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in music.
- Completion of two first-year (or equivalent) language courses in French, German, Italian or Russian (if you do not have this requirement, contact us at [email protected]).
- Audition
- Prepare three arias (memorized) from the standard classical operatic repertory in contrasting styles and languages. One must be in Italian.
- All arias must have piano accompaniment.
- Interview with a Faculty Member: This is a chance for us to get to know you and for you to ask questions you have about studying at Laurier.
