Description:

Students gain 80 hours ground school and are expected to pass the written examination with a 60% passing grade. Then students experience 200 hours total flight time including 100 hours pilot in command and 20 hours cross-country.

It is expected that after these steps applicants shall successfully be able to complete a flight test to Transport Canada standards.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    An applicant shall have completed the medical examination requirements in accordance with the Medical Standards for Civil Aviation Personnel Licensing and be in possession of a Category I medical. Applicants must have their private pilot license.
