Connect your passion for supporting children and youth through the Education Assistant (EA) Certificate program at Capilano University. This 16-month, part-time – evenings and weekends – program will begin in September and will give you the theory and practical strategies to help children and adolescents in the school system. Education Assistants support students in K – 12 who present with a wide range of abilities. EAs are in high demand in B.C., the province is experiencing a critical shortage of trained and certified professionals for on-call, part-time or full-time positions. Basic requirements - High school graduation

Current high school students Grade 12 students can apply for conditional admission based on their final Grade 11 and/or interim Grade 12 marks by uploading their most recent grades (e.g., unofficial transcript or a report card) through EducationPlannerBC. Final admission depends on high school graduation and meeting the specific requirements of the program. Note: Applicants from B.C high schools must release their grades to CapU via the BC Ministry of Education at Student Transcripts Services (STS) as soon as possible. |
