Description:

Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU)'s Interior Design degree program immerses you in one of the world's top-ranked interior design schools, as recognized by AZURE magazine. You'll blend professional development with experiential learning, exploring every detail of interior environments - from corporate and residential to retail and hospitality - with a focus on health, wellness, inclusion and sustainability. Gain advanced skills in 3D rendering, virtual reality and environmental simulation in our cutting-edge digital fabrication facility. You'll also have access to traditional woodworking shops, ceramics studios and a curated materials library to bring your ideas to life with precision and creativity. An optional co-op placement and mandatory internship will provide you with additional opportunities to apply your studies in professional settings. After graduation and work experience, pursue professional membership with the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO), if desired.

Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), 6 Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%, and the following required Grade 12 U courses (minimum grade of 70% in each):

  • English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred) (minimum grade of 70%)
  • Grade 11 U or M or Grade 12 U mathematics (one of: MCF3M, MCR3U, MHF4U, MCV4U, MDM4U) (minimum grade of 60%)

Applicants not educated in Ontario must submit evidence of education equivalent to the OSSD with six Grade 12 U or M courses.
