Description:Students interested in the diploma must apply to the Bachelor of Hospitality Management. Prior to completion of their first year, students must indicate their interest in exiting with their Hospitality Management Diploma. Upon successful completion of the first two years (60 credits including co-operative work placements and fulfillment of diploma completion requirements), students will be eligible to receive the Hospitality Management Diploma.

The two-year Hospitality Management diploma develops the learner's knowledge and skills required to build a successful hospitality career. The students acquire their hospitality knowledge through a blend of classroom learning, and experiential activities in an on-campus dining room, in teaching kitchens and participation in special events. Finally, students are required to complete two paid co-operative work placements where they apply their learning at resorts throughout British Columbia and Alberta.

Admission Requirements

  •  Grade12 English 
  •  Grade11 Principles of Mathematics  or  Grade11 Applied Mathematics  or  Grade11 Foundations for College Mathematics (MAP4C)  or  Grade11 Precalculus 

- graduation from a B.C. secondary school, or equivalent, with a minimum “C” grade in either English 12 or English 12 First Peoples; - previous degree from a recognized university; - visiting student from a college or university (a “Letter of Permission” from the home institution is required); - transfer student from a college or university (at least 24 transferable university-level credits completed); - mature student—at least 21 years of age (or will turn 21 in the first semester of admission) and has a minimum “C” grade in either English 12 or English 12 First Peoples.
