The Systems, Learning and Control master’s programme is about investigating how technical systems behave, and how they can be modelled, analysed, designed and controlled. You will combine mathematics, engineering, and computing to explore intelligent, cyber-physical systems, using them to tackle real challenges in areas like robotics, vehicles, and manufacturing. It begins by building a strong foundation in areas like modelling for dynamic systems, advanced signal processing, control, and design of cyber-physical systems. Together, these provide the theoretical framework for mastering dynamic systems across many engineering applications. Then, you will be able to deepen your knowledge further through a range of specialisations, covering some of the most important areas of the field, like robotics, automation, electro-mobility, communication systems and vehicle systems. There is considerable flexibility for you to tailor the education towards the industries and technologies that interest you most. |

To fulfil the general entry requirement for a master's programme at Chalmers (at advanced level/the second cycle), the prospective student must hold a degree that is equivalent to a Swedish Bachelor's degree (minimum 3 years, 180 Swedish higher education credits) in either Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Mathematics
Prerequisites: Mathematics (at least 30 cr. including Linear Algebra, Multivariable Analysis, Transforms, Mathematical Statistics), Automatic Control (including PID Controllers, State-Space Models, Stability Analysis of Transfer Functions and State-Space Models, Linearisation of Nonlinear Models, Bode and Nyquist Diagrams, Stability Analysis using Nyquist’s Full Criteria), Physics (including Kirchhoff’s Circuit Laws, Newton’s Second Law for Translational and Rotational Motion), Basic Programming |
