Develop strong foundations in chemistry, microbiology and molecular biology while gaining extensive laboratory experience. You'll perform experiments, prepare biological samples and analyze results using techniques used in biotechnology labs and production environments. Work with modern biotechnology equipment and analytical instruments used to study biomolecules and biological systems. Through lab-based courses, you'll gain experience with tools and technologies used in a variety of biotechnology industries. |

Program eligibility: Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses: - English, Grade 12 (ENG4C or?ENG4U)
- One?Math, Grade 11?Mathematics (M or U) or Grade?12 Mathematics?(C or U), or equivalent (minimum grade required)
- Recommended: Two science courses from Grade 11 and/or Grade 12 Chemistry, Biology, Physics and/or General Science.

| Additional Admission Requirements: | Pre-admission testing and upgrading: Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements will be invited to complete pre-admission tests in mathematics and/or English. Applicants lacking the mathematics admission requirement for this program may wish to upgrade their mathematics through Sheridan's FREE Academic Upgrading program prior to application.
Applicant selection Eligible applicants are selected on the assessment of their previous academic achievement (the average of their six highest senior-level credits, including required courses). Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for this program may be advised individually regarding other related programs. |
