This is a one-semester preparatory program preparing you for admission into the Bachelor of Science – Nursing - Second Entry program. Admission to the Bachelor of Science - Nursing Second Entry program is a two-step process: - Students are admitted to a preparatory semester offered from September to December, consisting of six courses – Human Anatomy and Physiology, Clinical Microbiology, Pathophysiology 1, Ethics and Moral Theory, Lifespan Development, and Statistics, as required based upon previous university education.
- After completion of each preparatory course with a minimum grade of 75 per cent, students are admitted into the Bachelor of Science Nursing - Second Entry Program.

To be eligible for admission, you must posses the following: - For applicants who have completed more than 60 credit hours, the admission average will be calculated on the most recent 60 credit hours of course work. The grades for all courses taken within an academic term will be included in this calculation, even if this results in exceeding the 60 credit hours requirement. Applicants who have not completed a three- or four-year degree, but who possess 60 credit hours with a 75 per cent GPA or higher, may also be considered for admission.
- A minimum grade of 75 per cent in Grade 12 (ENG4U), Grade 12 Chemistry (SCH4U), Grade 12 Biology (SBI4U) and any Grade 12 U-level Mathematics or equivalent.
- All international postsecondary documents must be evaluated by World Education Services (WES) Canada. All international high school credentials must be evaluated by ICAS. A course-by-course evaluation is required.

| Additional Admission Requirements: | College of Nurses of Ontario Graduates wishing to be registered will be asked by the College of Nurses of Ontario to sign a declaration of their status regarding: - citizenship/permanent residence/immigration
- any conviction of a criminal offence or an offence under the Narcotic Control Act or the Food and Drug Act
- being a subject of proceedings with respect to professional misconduct, incompetence or incapacity in Ontario in another health profession or in another jurisdiction in nursing or in another health profession
- any mental or physical disorder, which makes it desirable in the public interest that the person not practice nursing.
These conditions will also apply throughout your program.
