Our Master of Education (MEd) program is a flexible educational experience that works to meet your academic, professional, and personal goals. Our MEd program includes two fields of study: Educational Studies and Education for Change. Educational Studies is a broad field with specialization options, while Education for Change leads you to specialize in an area that is meaningful to you, in Environmental and Sustainability Education, Indigenous Education, or Social Justice Education.
Our Master of Education (MEd) program includes diverse routes that help you to personalize your learning based on your goals, interests, and circumstances. Each route allows you to focus your studies on areas that are important to you while giving you the flexibility, through our full-time or flex-time options, to complete your degree in a way that works best for you. You are able to earn your MEd degree through the course route, portfolio route, or thesis route.
Once you complete our MEd program through either the course route, portfolio route, or thesis route, you will receive your MEd degree. In the Education for Change field, the appropriate specialization will be noted on your transcript. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Usual minimum requirements for admission to the MEd program are:
- A four-year Bachelor's degree and Bachelor of Education or equivalent, each with at least
a second class standing (B), OR
- Two years relevant professional experience and a minimum B average in a four-year
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
