This advanced diploma program offers students the opportunity to explore the science and art of fire protection and prevention – from detection and suppression, including prevention and enforcement. Utilizing state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and current industry software, students will prepare for a career in this rapidly growing and developing field. Students will work with experts in all areas of the fire and life safety industry and will gain the practical and theoretical skills to enforce the fire code, along with planning, designing, installing and maintaining current and leading-edge fire protection equipment.

Applicants are required to have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Mature Student Status, Grade 12 English (C, M or U), and Grade 12 mathematics (C, M or U). Applicants are also recommended to have Grade 11 biology or Grade 12 chemistry (C or U), and Grade 12 Physics (C or U). |
