Description:

Build the skills and connections to launch yourself into a career you love (without breaking the bank). Through hands-on collaborative experiences, you’ll learn the essentials of Interaction (IxD) and User Experience (UX) Design while earning a fully accredited BS degree.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Enroll at SMC and set ‘Interaction Design’ as your intended major.

    Complete 60 lower division units of CSU transferable general education and IxD Major Preparation Requirements, which can be fulfilled by completing SMC’s Graphic Design Associate’s Degree with a User Experience Certification and IxD CSU General Education pattern or the IGETC for CSU.
    Test Scores:
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 450] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 45] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Computer Based) [min. 133] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 5]
    Application Notes :

    • Sponsor's Official Bank Statement to demonstrate you can meet SMC's estimated tuition and living expenses.
    • A copy of your passport information and expiration page.
    • Records from the last school attended. If the school was a college, university, or high school within the US, official transcripts must be sent directly from the awarding institution to the International Education Center at SMC. US transcripts must show a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
