Build the skills to help people live better in the Bachelor of Kinesiology degree program at Capilano University. In this bachelor of kinesiology degree program, you'll expand your expertise in the hands-on applications of kinesiology, the study of human movement. Courses include physiology, biomechanics, active health, human behaviour, human anatomy, exercise psychology, leadership and health policy. As you progress into the third and fourth years of the program, you'll gain knowledge of research methods, data analysis, professional ethics and field studies before moving into more focused training in your chosen, long-term specialty. Before you graduate, you’ll participate in career and professional preparation courses, field studies and a capstone course, ensuring you’ll be ready to start working to make your community healthier as soon as you finish your degree in kinesiology. High School Requirements - High school graduation
- A minimum grade point average of 2.0 (60%) calculated on English Studies 12 or English 12 or English First Peoples 12 and two academic Grade 12 courses, and
- A minimum C in Math 11 (Principles of Math or Foundations of Math) or pass in Pre-calculus 11, and
- A pass in Biology 12 or Anatomy and Physiology 12
Current high school students Grade 12 students can apply for conditional admission based on their final Grade 11 and/or interim Grade 12 marks by uploading their most recent grades (e.g., unofficial transcript or a report card) through EducationPlannerBC. Final admission depends on high school graduation and meeting the specific requirements of the program. Note: Applicants from B.C high schools must release their grades to CapU via the BC Ministry of Education at Student Transcripts Services (STS) as soon as possible. |
