The Grip Work for Digital Imaging and Film program prepares you for a role as a grip in motion picture, digital imaging and commercial production. Grips build, secure and maintain all equipment relating to camera operations, including dollies, tracks, tripods, cranes and static rigs. They work closely with the electric and camera departments as well as the director of photography to ensure heavy duty equipment is used safely. The technical hands-on training methods you'll learn in this program will help build a strong understanding of the procedures, methods and requirements for working as a grip. Careers: - Best boy grip

Basic requirements Current high school students Grade 12 students can apply for conditional admission based on their final Grade 11 and/or interim Grade 12 marks by uploading their most recent grades (e.g., unofficial transcript or a report card) through EducationPlannerBC. Final admission depends on high school graduation and meeting the specific requirements of the program. Note: Applicants from B.C high schools must release their grades to CapU via the BC Ministry of Education at Student Transcripts Services (STS) as soon as possible. |
